I should know.....I've had to wrestle a few men down to get rid of the grubby, awful "man-chair".
But I have some favorites too.....way too many, actually. I can always find a chair to buy, and of course, we have so many options and fabic choices here in the studio, that I am always being tempted.
Whether they are traditional, modern, rustic or mid-century, antique or brand new, the lines of a chair bring sculpture and comfort together.
There are unique, one-of-a-kind, kind of chairs.

It's no wonder we love a chair.....so much variety, so much personality....they become our old and dear friends...difficult to part with, yet always wanting "just one more".

Loved the outdoor chairs, such fun and the print on the wicker chair was fun for outdoors as well. Thanks for the "story of chairs" it was great to wander thru them!
ReplyDeleteThat "chair-a-holic" thing must be going around, Allison!
ReplyDeleteLani, the wicker chair is handpainted! Very cool, huh? We love to use Guildmaster furniture and accessories because they are so creative and unique.

I inherited two wonderful chairs from my mother-in-law similar to the ones in the JK Capri photo. I'm going to have them reupholstered in a colorful ikat and flank my fireplace with them.
