I like them both. The richness of the wood is striking, however the painted with the white marble counters and backsplash appeals to me more. cheers Susan
Painted...all the way!! In fact, I'm beginning a project today which will see the stain on my kitchen island disappear to be replaced by paint! Love the painted kitchen image, the dark gray is stunning. Janell
I have to say that I prefer the painted. Maybe it's just the combination here, with the stainless, that makes it look so good, but I love this black! XO!
I also prefer the painted. HOWEVER, it is key to have the best topcoat possible over the paint. The kitchen takes great abuse and if the final finish is not durable (paint alone is not durable in the kitchen... ask me how I know!), then the paint will chip/rub off sooner than you would like.
There are so many wonderful paint colors out there...
Painted! So much cooler and more modern. The stained is, well, so expected and a bit boring to me. Thanks for stopping by and the lovely comment. Jane F.

ReplyDeletePainted!!! The stained cabinets are lovely, but I absolutely love paint! The colors are gorgeous too!

I had stained and now mine are painted and I will never go back. Even if I were to buy brand new they would be painted for me!!

ReplyDeleteDefinitely painted! So clean and classic
ReplyDeletePainted but with some stained elements mixed in. Maybe a stained benchtop...not always funstional but it always looks beautiful.

ReplyDeleteI love them both! My kitchen cabinets are painted and the island is stained...but, who knows what I may do to it down the road!
ReplyDeleteIt is far easier to tough up stained wood, and for some people especially with little ones, this really matters.
BOTH!Depends on the client and the overall scope of the project, you can be alot more creative with painted cabinets however!
ReplyDeletePainted!
ReplyDeleteBoth beautiful kitchen but my favorite is the painted one.
