I have to admit that I’m liking a trend that I swore to myself that I never would! The more I see gold gilding on tables, mirrors, chairs and other accessories, the more I like it! I grew up with brass in every home, and I just didn’t think I could like metallic gold ever again.
But I DO!! I really Do!

Sally I was just saying to a friend today how much I love the mirrored gold sconces in my living room. We were discussing the difference between this look from brass or the antique brass of years gone by. I said this has a foreverness to it. Yes I made up that word, but it really does. Classic and forever= Foreverness!! Love all the examples you shared,xo Kathysue

I'm a huge fan of gold gilt. My favorite is when it is paired with more rustic elements. Just love the mix.

I completely agree. I am smitten and I never thought it would happen. I would go with restraint though because I"m not sure I;m committed for life.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't need to convince me - I've always loved a touch of gilding - and it doesn't need to be much to add a hit of glamour and elegance. Loving all your picks!
