All That Glitters Just May Be Gold!

High Point market is around the corner, then the Dallas Market is right behind it. (Seems like we just did this!…..oh, we did!)  But that doesn’t stop all the wonderful companies from sending their new catalogues and product brochures to entice us to shop!
I have to admit that I’m liking a trend that I swore to myself that I never would!  The more I see gold gilding on tables, mirrors, chairs and other accessories, the more I like it!  I grew up with brass in every home, and I  just didn’t think I could like metallic gold ever again.
But I DO!! I really Do!

  1. Sally I was just saying to a friend today how much I love the mirrored gold sconces in my living room. We were discussing the difference between this look from brass or the antique brass of years gone by. I said this has a foreverness to it. Yes I made up that word, but it really does. Classic and forever= Foreverness!! Love all the examples you shared,xo Kathysue

  5. I'm a huge fan of gold gilt. My favorite is when it is paired with more rustic elements. Just love the mix.

  8. I completely agree. I am smitten and I never thought it would happen. I would go with restraint though because I"m not sure I;m committed for life.

  9. You didn't need to convince me - I've always loved a touch of gilding - and it doesn't need to be much to add a hit of glamour and elegance. Loving all your picks!
