Breaking a few rules

My mom told me I was rebellious.

Not the kind of rebellious that goes out and steals a car or sneaks out of the house when everyone else is asleep.  I never got too out of hand, but I pushed the envelope just far enough that they never quite knew what I would do.

Luckily, I survived to adulthood, raised my own "rebellious" kids, all the while knowing that pushing the envelope is what makes most things interesting.

Great designers do it all the time.

  1. I'm actually feeling the urge to calm down. But regarding design, love that rebel touch that makes a space unique and original. Have a great day Sally! XoXo

  7. I love the pink kitchen!!! Seriously. I was talking to my mom the other day and she recalled how her mother had a turquoise kitchen, I had forgotten, but remembering made me happy! Nothing like breaking a rule or two...

  12. Rules are made to be broken, especially in design! I prefer to call them guidelines, then we can deviate as necessary!
